Gymnastics 101
Designed for all ages and ability levels this class introduces basic skills for gross and finite motor development in vault, bars, beam, floor , and trampoline. Key to fundamentals is flexibility, balance, strength, coordination, shaping and understanding body positions, such as, straight, tuck, straddles, hollow body, prone, arching, candlesticks and C-position landings.
Vault: basic running drills such as, high knees, bottom kicks, karokes, chasse on both sides, skipping, sprints, running back wards. Arm rotations for the approach to vaulting, and straight jumps to the board, to the floor and a 8 inch mat.
Bars: basic chin hold, front supports, skin the cat, possum hangs, chin up pull overs, casting drills, and casting skills, prone positions, and straddle, and pike dismounts.
Beam: mounting from a front support, walking on knees, walking, hopping, ice cream scoops, coupé, passé, puzzle feet, levers, and basic dismounts.

Trampoline Skills:
Straight jumps, tuck jumps, straddle jumps, seat drops, knees drops, tummy drops, back drops, donkey kicks, and combinations in leaps, and turns.
All basic floor progression skills
Intermediate gymnastics Building on the skills gymnastics 101, this class progresses to more intermediate floor gymnastics and introduces additional skills:
Vault: continue all running drills from level 101 and add running drills such as, hamstring swipes, lunge twist-twist, include hand stand to flat back, arm circle jumps and drills and using (2) 8 inch mats for straight jumps.
Bars: chin up pullover, casting off the bar to a push away, back hip circles, start front hip circle drills, start glide drills, master basic dismounts, and start on casting to the feet on top of the bar.
Beam: lever T’s, squat turns, knee hand stands, all skills from gymnastics 101, 1/2 turns, all basic dismounts, knee to hand stand prone dismounts, and T in and T out hand stands on beam.

This class focuses on fundamental gymnastics skills across various apparatuses: Boys have (6) apparatus. Below are skills they will be introduced to:
Low and High Bars: Front support, chin-up pullover, cast back hip circle, cast away, re-gripping, long hang swings, swing half turn.
Rings: Inversions, L-holds, tuck holds, support holds and swinging.
Vault: Running Drills, high Knees, karaoke, bottom kicks, step twist, arm circle jump skills on and off the board, flat back drills, correct technique on hurdles, start running forward rolls onto pit mat, flat backs.
Parralle Bars: L-Swings, under arm swings, pike holds, straddle holds, and over the bar dismounts.
Pommel: Leg cuts, hand skills, leg swings, leg kicks, and weight shifts.
Floor: All floor skills listed in the gymnastics 101 and 102 information above.
Gymnastics Levels are 1-10
Pre-Gym Team and Level 1 & 2
These levels focus on mastering foundational skills on floor with the introduction of dance skills and turns:
Level 1: Basic skills on vault, bar, beam and floor, including turns and dance skills, which all levels will have dance.
Level 2: Mastery of Level 1 floor skills, drills for Back Handsprings, and further development of Vault, Bar and Beam techniques.
Levels 3, 4, and Up
Emphasis on mastery of intermediate and advanced skills:
Level 3: Vault drills with Round-Offs over a pit mat, Kip Drills on Bars, Cartwheels on Beam, and beginning to work on Back Tucks and Front Tucks on Floor.
Level 4 and Up: Mastery of skills from previous levels, with advanced work on Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor, including multiple Round-Off Back Handsprings, and development of Standing Back Tucks and Running Front Tucks.

Front Roll (FR): A basic forward rolling motion.
Back Roll (BKR): Rolling backward from a standing position.
Headstand (Hd Std): Balancing on the head with legs raised.
Cartwheel (Crt Whl): A sideways rotary movement with hands and feet touching the ground.
Tables: A balancing position on hands and feet.
Bridges: An arching position on hands and feet.
Tic-Toc Drills: Drills focusing on control and flexibility in leg movements.
Levers: A body position where the torso and legs form a straight line while balancing on hands.
Log Rolls: Rolling motion on the floor while maintaining a straight body.
Standing Back Bend (Std BK BD): A backward bend from a standing position.
Kickover (KO): A move where the gymnast kicks their legs over from a bridge position.

Front Support: Hanging with the body straight and parallel to the floor.
Chin-Up Pullover: Pulling up from a hanging position and rotating over the bar.
Cast Back Hip Circle: A circular motion with hips over the bar.
Cast Away: A swinging motion from a hanging position, dismount off the bar.
Gymnastics Beam (BM) Skills:
Front Support to Mount: Starting position for mounting the beam.
Walk in Coupe: Walking with one foot placed on the ankle.
Walk in Passé: Walking with one foot placed on the knee.
Hold Passé: Balancing with one foot on the knee for 2-3 counts.
Step Lock Turns: A turning movement with feet in a specific position.
Pivot Turns: Turning on the beam with one foot pivoting.
Straight Jump Dismounts: Jumping off the beam with legs straight.
Knee Dismount Drills: Drills for dismounting from the knees.
Gymnastics Vault(V) Skills:
Running Drills: Practice runs to improve technique and power.
High Knees: Lifting knees high during running.
Karaoke: A lateral running drill.
Bottom Kicks: Kicking the bottom while running.
Step Twist: Twisting motion while stepping into a lunge.
Arm Circle Jump Skills: Jumping while performing arm circles.
Flat Back Drills: Practice landing on the back from the vault.
